Susan DuHamel

Susan is responsible for the design and execution of a comprehensive distribution strategy and achieving set profitability and production goals for CNA Canada’s Central and Eastern regions.

Susan joined CNA in 2025. She is an industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience working in commercial insurance. She started her career with Aon and has held leadership roles at Zurich, Travelers, and Liberty Mutual. At Liberty, she led distribution, marketing and communications for the company’s Canadian division before assuming the role of Chief Marketing Officer for the company's Global Risk Solutions division.

Susan has a Bachelor of Arts from Mount Allison University, a Bachelor of Public Relations from Mount Saint Vincent University, and a Master of Business Administration from York University’s Schulich School of Business.

An active volunteer in the industry, Susan spent years as a member of WICC’s communications and breakfast committees, and she recently served as a Canadian advisory board member of ISC, a non-profit dedicated to the development and advancement of women in the insurance industry.

Outside of work, Susan has volunteered for a variety of organizations and fundraising initiatives in her community in the west end of Toronto.
