Dana Al-Nammari - Senior Underwriter - Marine

Dana Al Nammari is a Senior Marine underwriter for the Eastern region, operating out of our Montreal Quebec office. Dana is responsible for supporting our broker and client relationships in the areas of commercial marine underwriting including Cargo and Stock-throughputs, Hull & Machinery and Marine liabilities.

Dana Joined CNA in 2020 after holding a variety of underwriting and leader roles in Marine and Property. Prior to joining CNA, held various positions with Insurers, MGAs and Reinsurers in Canada and overseas over a span of 33 years. Dana holds a Bachelor’s degree from Moravian College, PA, USA and an FCIP from the Insurance Institute of Canada for whom she also instructs and participates in various roles.

Dave Swindells - Underwriting Specialist - Marine

Dave Swindells is an Underwriting Specialist for CNA Canada’s Marine group in Toronto.  Dave is responsible for supporting our national broker relationships and their clients, and supporting the marine line of business with respect to underwriting strategy, and internal technical development.  He is also responsible for developing and supporting marine program business .  Dave has worked in the insurance industry for more than twenty years. Prior to joining CNA in 2022, Dave held a variety of underwriting roles at some of North America’s largest commercial insurance companies and brokerages, including Intact, Zurich, and Marsh.  Dave holds a bachelor degree from the McMaster University and his CIP from the Insurance Institute of Canada.
