Jacki Detablan

Jacki joined CNA in 2017 to lead growth initiatives within the Specialty Lines Practice, which includes Healthcare, Professional and Cyber Liability, Management Liability, Financial Institutions, and Programs. In 2023, her role expanded to include oversight of Risk Managed Casualty, reinforcing her mandate to drive strategic growth and innovation across the organization.


With over 25 years of industry experience, Jacki began her insurance career as a trainee at RSA in Toronto. She progressed through increasingly senior roles across Package, and Errors & Omissions (E&O) lines. She later joined AIG, where she spent 15 years in leadership positions including Branch Manager, Regional Underwriting Manager, and Vice President of Professional Liability and Cyber. Before transitioning to CNA, she served as Vice President of Financial Lines, overseeing complex financial accounts while maintaining portfolio responsibility for Cyber.


Jacki is widely recognized for her strategic leadership, deep technical expertise, and commitment to advancing the industry. She was named a Woman to Watch by Business Insurance (North America) in 2022 and an Elite Woman by Insurance Business Canada in 2020. A sought-after speaker, she regularly presents at leading industry conferences such as the National Insurance Conference of Canada (NICC), Canadian Insurance Financial Forum (CIFF), RIMS Canada Conference, and NetDiligence Canada.


She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University and several professional designations, including Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP), Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), and Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP).
