Catherine Roe is the President and Chief Agent of CNA Canada, where she oversees all aspects of CNA’s Canadian operations, working closely with the global and local executive teams to drive profitable growth, strengthen market position, and deliver on the company’s commitment to clients and brokers.

 

With more than 30 years of experience in insurance and risk management, Catherine brings a deep understanding of the Canadian market and a proven track record of driving profitable growth, operational excellence, and client-focused innovation.

 

Prior to joining CNA, Catherine served as Executive Vice President and Central Region Leader at Aon Canada, where she oversaw strategic growth initiatives and client service delivery across multiple industry sectors and solution lines. She held senior-level accountability for key accounts, led integrated risk management programs, and mentored teams through Aon’s client value creation model. Her leadership was instrumental in building inclusive, high-performing teams and fostering strong market relationships.

 

Catherine began her career in insurance in 1992, holding roles at State Farm Insurance, JRP Engineering Inc, FM Global and Marsh. Her diverse experience spans underwriting, claims adjusting, account management, and executive leadership, giving her a broad perspective on the industry and client needs. Catherine’s expertise includes a deep understanding of local context, trends, and macroeconomic factors.

 

Known for her collaborative approach and strategic vision, Catherine is passionate about mentoring emerging leaders and advancing diversity within the insurance sector. She currently participates in an advisory group focused on mentorship and education for women aspiring to leadership roles. Catherine continually strives to support a culture of continuous learning and connection.

 

Catherine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Washington. She is based out of CNA’s Toronto office.
