CNA partners with Junior Achievement of Canada

Toronto, February 16, 2021 -- CNA is proud to announce our partnership with Junior Achievement (JA) of Canada, a global non-profit organization dedicated to educating elementary and high school students about business. The organization offers programs that focus on work readiness, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship, providing students with the opportunity to learn and grow into future leaders. Together, CNA will be working with JA across Canada to educate Grade 8 students about financial literacy through the Economics for Success Program, to become more career ready through the World of Choices Program and reward an outstanding student who has taken part in the JA Central Ontario Company Program with the JA Journey Award.

With CNA volunteers across Canada, the JA Economics for Success Program will enable Grade 8 students to gain a stronger sense of who they are and how to use their strengths to succeed in the future as well as how they can prepare to enter the world of work. The World of Choices Program will empower Grade 10-12 students in designing career paths and developing the skills to meet tomorrow’s challenges.

The JA Journey Award, sponsored by CNA, will be presented to the Company Program student who has demonstrated personal growth as a result of their participation in the program. The award is an opportunity for CNA and JA Central Ontario to promote amazing JA stories and celebrate the students’ unique achievements.

“We’re very grateful for CNA’s support”, says Karen Gallant, Vice President of Programs and Charter Services at JA Canada.  “Their commitment will help more young people understand how to chart a path for success.  Students will learn the importance of staying in school, goal-setting and how to build meaningful careers that leverage their interests, skills and passions.”

“I am extremely excited about our growing partnership with JA Canada, and look forward to continuing to make a positive impact together through our support and volunteer efforts,” says Nick Creatura, President & CEO of CNA Canada. CNA has a longstanding tradition of supporting local non-profit organizations to improve the quality of life for individuals in our local communities. Investing in education ensures that future generations are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow. CNA’s investment supports the creation of a strong pipeline of entrepreneurs to create jobs and power our economy.
