Marine Seminar
This program is designed to cover the nature of Cargo insurance and provides a technical understanding of this type of insurance, i.e. the sales process and how to sell Cargo insurance for new policies. It also takes a look at the effects of e-commerce in this area of risk. Seminar offered in both full-day and half-day format.
Cross Border Seminar
This program is designed to give a brief overview of CNA and its Product offerings. In addition, the primary focus will cover, in detail, the nature of Cross Border business. This presentation teaches the student how to be aware of potential obstacles concerning this type of risk while providing solutions. The sales and underwriting processes are also covered. This seminar is only available in the half-day format.
Product Liability Seminar
This seminar covers such topics as Canadian vs. U.S. Perspective, Theories of Recovery, Cause of Action in Contract, and Duty to Warn. It also looks at Emerging Claim Trends along with Award/Decision Trends. A video entitled "When Products Harm" is also presented. The session concludes with a Product Liability workshop. This Seminar is only available in the half-day format.
Automobile Seminar
The Automobile Seminar looks at five major topics in automotive insurance: understanding the different effects of the OAP #1 on commercial risks; underwriting commercial risks - intro/elements/individual/fleet, garage automobile, non-owned automobile/excess automobile policies and lessor's contingent automobile/loss control. This seminar is available only in the half-day format.
